Connie Baldueza (Chief Executive Officer)

Connie Baldueza serves as CEO of Amor Hospice Care, bringing over a decade of hospice administration experience. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Dominic Sayo College in the Philippines, she previously held President/CEO roles at Above and Beyond Hospice Care and LifeCare Solutions Palliative and Hospice. Connie directs daily operations, oversees hospice personnel employment and evaluations, and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. Her organizational abilities and quality assurance expertise help establish standards of care that support patients and families during end-of-life transitions.

Connie's leadership ensures Amor Hospice Care maintains the operational excellence needed to deliver consistent, reliable hospice services throughout the Houston area. In November 2025, Connie was elected to the Board of Directors of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston (FACCGH).

Maureen Ramos (Director of Patient Care Services)

Maureen Ramos oversees patient care delivery at Amor Hospice Care, bringing extensive clinical and leadership experience. With a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and board certification as a Nurse Executive, she manages daily operational oversight of hospice services and patient flow. Her background includes directing emergency center nursing operations and emergency oncology care coordination. Maureen supervises clinical staff, implements quality management protocols, and ensures care delivery meets regulatory standards. As a Certified Emergency Nurse with advanced certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATCN, she brings critical clinical competency to end-of-life care, supporting both patients and families during their hospice journey. In addition to her role at Amor Hospice Care, Maureen is the Emergency Center Director of Nursing at Ben Taub Hospital.

Julius Caesar Baldueza (Chief Operating Officer)

Julius Caesar Baldueza oversees operations and human resources at Amor Hospice Care, drawing on over seven years of hospice administration experience. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he previously served as VP of Operations at Above and Beyond Hospice Care and Office Manager at LifeCare Solutions Palliative and Hospice. Julius manages medical records, patient documentation, and office systems while directing recruitment, employee orientation, and retention programs. He coordinates personnel records, billing liaison, and volunteer programs, acting as an advocate for staff. His operational expertise ensures Amor Hospice Care maintains the administrative infrastructure necessary to support consistent, quality patient care delivery.

Rogelio Lee Ramos (Chief Financial Officer)

Rogelio Lee Ramos manages financial operations and regulatory compliance at Amor Hospice Care, bringing over a decade of business management experience. As the owner of Pro-Choice Auto Care since 2012, he developed expertise in budget preparation, financial forecasting, payroll management, and regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Rogelio prepares annual operating budgets, monitors financial productivity through daily reports, and ensures documentation accuracy and compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures. His background in staff hiring, training, and performance monitoring supports Amor's operational goals. Rogelio's financial management skills help maintain the fiscal stability necessary for Amor to provide consistent, reliable hospice services to Houston-area families.

Angelita Guerrero (Director of Sales and Marketing)

Angelita Guerrero builds relationships with case managers and community leaders to connect Houston-area families with Amor Hospice Care's services. With experience as Director of Business Development at Doctor's Choice Home Health and Hospice, she cultivates professional partnerships that drive referrals and ensure patients have access to end-of-life care. As a Certified Medical Translator in Spanish, Angelita helps underserved communities navigate hospice services. Her background as a Rehab Clinician Therapist and Caseworker with the Texas Department of Family Protective Services provides insight into helping individuals with mental health and CPS histories. Angelita's relationship-building skills ensure families understand admission processes and can access compassionate hospice care when needed.

Anisha Waxali (MD)

Dr. Anisha Waxali provides medical oversight and clinical guidance for Amor Hospice Care's patient services. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, she earned her MD with honors from the University of Texas Medical School (Houston) and completed her Internal Medicine residency at UT Health Science Center (Houston). With over two decades in private practice at Town Center Physicians and hospital privileges at St. Luke's Sugarland, Methodist Sugarland, and Triumph Hospital Southwest, Dr. Waxali brings comprehensive clinical expertise to hospice care management. Fluent in English, Spanish, Gujarati, and Hindi, she helps Amor serve Houston's diverse communities. Her experience as a former Assistant Clinical Professor at UT Medical School strengthens our quality of care protocols.

Josier Nisnisan (MD)

Dr. Josier Nisnisan brings over two decades of hospice medicine expertise to Amor Hospice Care. Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he has served as Medical Director and Hospice Director at multiple Houston-area hospice organizations, including Heart of Texas Hospice, Harbor Hospice, Altus Hospice, Vitas and Vista Care Hospice. His extensive experience includes inpatient care at West Houston Medical Center, St. Luke's Sugar Land, and Methodist Sugar Land, along with nursing facility affiliations throughout the region. Dr. Nisnisan's dual expertise in internal medicine and hospice care ensures comprehensive medical oversight for patients transitioning to end-of-life services, supporting both comfort and clinical quality.

Noe Espinosa (Nurse Practitioner)

Noe Espinosa serves as a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Amor Hospice Care, bringing over 25 years of nursing experience and specialized expertise in cardiology and critical care. With a Master of Science in Nursing in Adult Gerontology Acute Care from the University of Texas Medical Branch, he provides clinical assessment and management for hospice patients with complex cardiac and vascular conditions. His extensive background at Houston Methodist Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and St. Luke's Hospital includes coronary care, cardiac imaging, and ICU nursing. ANCC BLS/ACLS certified, Noe ensures comprehensive symptom management and quality care for patients transitioning through end-of-life with cardiac diagnoses.

Brandon Barrera (Nurse Practitioner)

Brandon Barrera provides acute care expertise to Amor Hospice Care patients, bringing 17 years of combined nursing experience in intensive care, oncology, and emergency medicine. Board-certified as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science from Texas Woman's University, he completed clinical rotations at MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in cardiology, leukemia, and internal medicine. His decade at MD Anderson focused on stem cell transplant, chemotherapy management, and cellular therapy toxicity assessment. Currently serving on Houston Methodist Hospital's Clinical Emergency Response Team, Brandon brings critical skills in managing acute symptoms, cardiac arrhythmias, respiratory distress, and sepsis — essential for hospice patients requiring urgent symptom relief and comfort care.

Cherry Nicolas (Marketing)

Cherry Nicolas leads marketing and provider outreach for Amor Hospice Care, bringing over 13 years of healthcare experience in specialty infusion, home health, and care coordination. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of Fatima University and an extensive background as Senior Marketer at DeliverIt Pharmacy and Clinical Coordinator at CVS Specialty Infusion Services, she develops referral networks and provider partnerships that connect Houston-area patients with hospice services. Cherry Ann's clinical expertise in transition-of-care models and payer navigation helps families smoothly access end-of-life care. Her relationship management skills with hospitals, specialists, case managers, and discharge planners ensure patients receive timely referrals when hospice services are appropriate.

Jericho Agaton (Marketing)

Jericho Agaton supports Amor Hospice Care's outreach and community engagement efforts, bringing hospice experience from LifeCare Solutions Palliative and Hospice, where he served as Filing/Data Processing Clerk and volunteer. His background in maintaining accurate patient records for billing and inventory management ensures marketing materials and documentation support operational needs. Jericho has volunteered at Amor Hospice Care since the age of 16 — he spent time playing music and interacting with patients. His volunteer experience providing patient care and companionship gives him genuine insight into the hospice experience, helping him communicate authentically about Amor's services to families and referral sources. His strong customer service skills and collaborative approach help connect Houston-area communities with information about compassionate end-of-life care options when families need support.

Mark Nicolas (Office Manager)

Mark Nicolas manages administrative operations at Amor Hospice Care, bringing eight years of Quality Assurance Coordinator experience from home health and hospice settings. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of Fatima University, he previously served as QA Coordinator at Angelus Health Services and Genus Patris Hospice, and Clinical Coordinator at Total Home Care. Mark ensures clinical documentation complies with Medicare, Medicaid, and federal regulations, performs chart audits, monitors OASIS assessments, and maintains accurate billing records. His expertise in ICD-10 coding, Plan of Care requirements, and compliance procedures supports Amor's operational integrity. Mark's organizational skills and attention to regulatory detail help maintain the quality standards necessary for consistent patient care delivery.
